FenFast 375 Review: Does It Work? Is It Safe?

FenFast 375 Review: Does It Work? Is It Safe?

This is a review of FenFast 375. You’ve probably seen this supplement in stores. They carry it at Walmart, GNC, and you can even buy it on Amazon.

If you’ve been browsing around looking for reviews written by somebody who doesn’t work for the company, you’re in the right place. This website is about helping you spend your money wisely on products that make you healthier.

Shopping for weight loss supplements can be overwhelming. They are all marketed as “miracle” fat burners but we know that a lot of them don’t work.

Here’s the review in a nutshell: FenFast 375 may help accelerate fat loss if used in combination with proper diet and exercise. But the effect is probably minimal.

The best way to lose weight is by following a proven plan that has worked for many thousands of people already. A diet supplement can only make a very small difference. In fact, in most cases they are unnecessary.

About FenFast 375

FenFast 375 is a diet pill supplement sold online and in many major retail stores. You do not need a prescription for this supplement.

According to the FenFast website, there are four active ingredients:

  • L-theanine
  • Hordenine HCL
  • Caffeine
  • L-Phenylalanine

The company claims that these ingredients help manage weight in different ways. In their own words:

The ingredients that have been combined in the FENFAST formula work in a number of different ways. The ingredients have been shown to combat fatigue, support your ability to overcome struggles commonly faced when dieting, and promote better acuity, so you can stay focused on reaching those goals.

Does this sound a bit vague to you? What exactly does “support your ability to overcome struggles” mean?

If you’re reading this then you’re probably looking for something that burns fat. Period. So let’s look at the ingredients to see if FenFast 375 really helps you lose weight faster.

FenFast 375 Ingredients

As mentioned above, there are 4 ingredients included that are meant to help you lose fat. Their website further states that each ingredient has been “clinically studied by highly reputed research organizations” but that doesn’t really tell us much. Did the studies actually show that these ingredients burn fat? And are you really getting your money’s worth if you buy this supplement?

L-Theanine

L-Theanine is a naturally-occurring amino acid that is most known for its cognitive effects. Small amounts of L-theanine can help you feel more relaxed, focused, and improve your quality of sleep. According to WebMD it can be used to treat “anxiety and stress, depression, schizophrenia, for preventing Alzheimer’s disease, for treating attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and improving mental performance and attention” (full article here).

This compound was first recognized in the 1940’s when researchers identified the active ingredients in green tea. L-theanine is thought to explain (at least in part) the feeling of calm people get when drinking green tea.

It is mostly known for cognitive benefits, but it may also help with weight loss. Stress and its associated symptoms can cause weight gain, so the mood-boosting properties of l-theanine can help control weight in that respect. This has been studied in people drinking green tea, and it was found that both l-theanine and caffeine reduce fat cells in the body (this is described in more detail here).

Caffeine

FenFast 375 also contains caffeine, a stimulant that stimulates fat burning. There has been a lot of research on this and it is mostly definitive. That is why caffeine is such a common ingredient in weight loss supplements.

The FenFast website does not tell you the exact amount of caffeine in each tablet. The most you learn is from their “supplement facts” page which only provides the total amount of the entire blend of active ingredients. We called Intechra Health, their parent company, to learn more about the caffeine content the customer service support did not have that information.

Hordenine HCL

Hordenine is a compound that is found in many weight loss and nootropic supplements. It stimulates the “fight-or-flight” response in your nervous system by causing nerves to release epinephrine and norepinephrine. This helps weight loss in a few ways: 1) increased energy levels, 2) appetite suppression, and 3) increased metabolism.

L-Phenylalanine

L-Phenylalanine is an amino acid that can improve your health in a variety of ways. It has been studied for pain relief, arthritis, and even anxiety and depression.

The way L-phenylalanine helps you lose weight is through appetite suppression. It does this by sending signals to the brain that you are not hungry, which helps keep your appetite at bay.

What Are The Side Effects?

There are several possible side effects of taking FenFast 375. The side effects are mostly related to the metabolism-stimulating ingredients. Possible side effects include dizziness, nausea, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Potential severe side effects include heart palpitations, seizures, and dangerously high blood pressure. The company has a full list on their website. They also have a lengthy list of conditions for which you should not take FenFast 375 if you have them.

Final Verdict: Should You Use FenFast 375?

For healthy men and women, FenFast 375 is a decent weight loss supplement, but comes with a risk of side effects ranging from unpleasant to life-threatening.

There is no question that the ingredients in FenFast can help promote weight loss to a moderate degree. But the vast majority of your weight loss results will still come from proper dieting and exercise. Furthermore, you can get at least some of these ingredients easily through green tea (caffeine, L-theanine) and coffee (caffeine), for a lot less money.

Altogether we believe that most people are better off focusing on achieving their ideal body through healthy diet and consistent exercise. Taking a supplement like FenFast 375 presents unnecessary risk of side effects.

However, for healthy people who are looking for an extra boost to lose fat in a condensed period of time – such as for bodybuilding competitions – FenFast 375 is a decent option.
